Freemansburg, PA – A beloved local spot is set to return to its roots. After nearly two years of operating as Freemansburg Diner, the restaurant at 710 Washington St. will officially become Spiros Restaurant once again, starting November 1st, 2024. The former owners of Spiros will return to manage the diner, restoring it to the way many locals fondly remember it.

The news has sparked excitement across the community, particularly among those who cherish memories of Spiros. On Facebook, loyal customers were quick to share their enthusiasm. “This makes me sooooo happy,” said Margaret, while Dianne exclaimed, “Wow! Great news!”

For many, the nostalgia runs deep. “Spiro's was awesome! Make Spiro's Great Again!” remarked Boots, recalling the diner’s glory days. Mary fondly added, “Spiro had the best soups!” while Sandy shared, “Wonderful news, always enjoyable food.”

Freemansburg Diner officially adopted its current name in January 2022 following Spiro's retirement, but both Freemansburg Diner and Spiros have earned glowing reviews over the years. Now, with the return of Spiros, the community eagerly awaits its revival. “Can’t wait, good for Spiro,” said Bill.
